Deploy Actively Polled AWS and Azure Dashboards Anywhere with IAM Health Cloud
IAM Health Cloud actively polls AWS and Azure for crucial information about your cloud deployments. Cost, access, and usage are tracked in a powerful system that does not rely on a cloud provider or third party’s batch reporting–data is pulled down independently through an active polling system that relies on low level, high uptime APIs. If your cloud computing environment is up IAM Health Cloud will always track it.
Data is collected from all AWS and Azure accounts and displayed in a single pane of glass–you don’t need to switch between windows and panes to try to track each account or resource on its own. IAM Health Cloud puts it all togehter, and it does it in a native interface familiar to DevOps–AWS CloudWatch Dashboards. All IAM Health Cloud data lives inside AWS CloudWatch dashboards for analysis and monitoring. IAM Health Cloud inherits all of the tools and APIs already built into AWS CloUdWatch Dashboards. There is no need to learn any new systems–current knowledge of the basic CloudWatch dashboards system is all you need.
AWS admins can share CloudWatch dashboards with a variety of people in a variety of places. Live CloudWatch Dashboards–the exact dashboards the admin can see in their CLoudWatch console–can be shared with specific users over email, publicly with a link that opens the CloudWatch dashboard, or with SSO. Access to shared dashboards can be monitored and revoked through CLoudWatch, and additional features–such as alarms, custom widgets, and log tables–can be turned on or off.
Admins also have the option to share a version of the dashboard that does not inherit all of the permissions or interactivity of the shared original dashboard. Admins can embed snaphsot graphs into their websites. Snapshot graphs are graphs made up of static snapshots of the live CloudWatch information. Snapshot graphs are a powerful tool to create web views for large teams or stakeholders who need frequently updated data but shouldn’t be given access to the original CloudWatch Dashboards.
With the standard AWS CloudWatch dashboards sharing data is useful, but IAM Health Cloud makes it even more powerful. Our integration of every account and organization across Azure and AWS gives the DevOps team the power to share metrics and alerts for the entire company with anyone who needs it. The CFO can see in real time the cost of every AWS and Azure asset as it is running. Security will have a universal view of activity that helps them spot anamolous actions much sooner; and eliminates opportunities to disguise an attack by spreading activity across multiple spaces. Anyone who needs access to concise, comprehensive information about the entire company’s IT system can instantly get it without being granted new permissions that grow the organization’s attack surface.
IAM Health Cloud is built for managing large cloud deployments, but we use an open, flexible data model. We have built in the ability to visualize or analyze any piece of data–all you have to do is add it to an S3 bucket in plain text format. IAM Health Cloud users can take any piece of data they want, visualize it, and share it anywhere with IAM Health Cloud. Key KPIs and metrics that are relevant to DevOps and other cloud teams but aren’t part of AWS or Azure themselves–such as overall budget spend, new users inbound from HR, downtime of physical plants or facilities, can be graphed and visualized for the entire company or division and displayed alongside other, more traditional metrics.
The ability to generate these dashboards is just a small part of IAM Health Cloud’s overall feature set. Please get in touch today to find out how we can help you secure and manage your multi-cloud setup today.
